Limited Edition Prints
A Giclee Print is a wonderful option to owning an art image you love. It is a great alternative to the expense, and often, lack of availability of an original painting.
Some of Marcia Perry's images are available in Limited Editons, printed by master printer and colorist, Andrew Jackson, of Outer Edge Studios in Monterey California. These signed and numbered limited editon giclee prints are produced on archival watercolor paper with the best inks available. The images in limited Edition prints are indicated on the individual paintings on my website.
As of 2012, I presently have ninety-six images available of my art on fineartamerica.com. This extraordinary site and service prints high quality giclee prints on demand in a variety of sizes and surfaces-canvas, archival paper and acrylic. They also provide framing service with a large variety of options for the prints as well. Their prices are very reasonable and they deliver time within ten days after the order. I recently ordered ten different images in print on canvas, and framed paper. I was completely pleased with the quality of printing, my colors were accurate and the mounting and framing were flawless. It is an amazing new service for artists, their collectors and decorators alike. It give us the creative ability to customize art prints from our favorite images. To see my Print Shop press the "ART PRINT STORE" button on the site.
A Giclee prints should be treated much like a water color painting, avoiding direct sunlight and exposure to moisture
The Giclée print process begins by scanning the original artwork into a computer. The best results are created by scanning the actual artwork, as opposed to a reproduction, though photo transparencies, positives and negatives can also be scanned. Once in the computer, all aspects of the image can be manipulated to achieve the truest result.
Because the images are sprayed onto the paper, they become part of its integral texture, rather than stopping at the surface as in traditional printing processes. The resulting quality and integrity is very similar to Marcia Perry's original airbrush paintings.
